He had quite wide shoulders, and the upper part of his body, from the waist up. was longer comparing with the lower part. He was brunette and round-faced.

It is very well-known that once he was guest of Edebali, one of the great Sheikhs, at his home, he did not go to bed till the morning, and spent the night without haying any sleep out of sheer respect since he saw the Glorious Quran on the wall in the room he was shown to rest. The old Sheikh married him to his daughter since he was very much pleased with his that behavior; and he prayed Allah the Almighty for them.

He conquered Karahisar in _ In 1289. having defeated the Byzantines at Domanich, he seized Biledjik. and thus he was appointed as Uchbey by. the Seljukian Emperor. In 1299 Inegoel was taken. The lands left to him by his father were four thousand square kilometers totally, but at the time he expired, the lands of Pricipality reached to sixteen thousand square-kilometers.
Before he died, he had made the following testament addressing to his son, Sultan Orkhan Gazi: My first will to you, my dear sons and my friends, is that you should keep alive the highness of Din-ee Djeleel-ee Islam (Great Religion of Islam) continueing fights as long as you live on this world. Attaining the perfection of holy warfares, you should always raise the sacred banner of Mohammed (S.A.S., May Allah commend and salute him! ). You serve Islam all your lives because Allah the Omnipresent charged me, His poor slave, to conquer countries. You spread far away the Kelime-ee Tevhid ( the Word of Faith in Islam) all over the world. May whoever, in my illustrious descent, swerves from honesty and justice be deprived of the intercession of Rasoul-ou A'zam (Mohammed Moustapha, S.A.S.)"
My dear son! There is no humanbeing who is not submissive to death. Now, with Allah's will, the death is imminent to me. I commit the Principality to you, and you to Allah the Allknowing. You should keep the superiority of justice in your affairs."

According to a weak rumour, the Sultan Osman Ghazi was interred next to his father's tomb, and he indicated that this body, on his death, to be buried at Brusa in case that city was conquered. Accordingly, in 1326, after the conquest of Brusa, his corpse, after his will, was removed there and was buried in Gumushlubed (Argentiferous Vault) built in the name of Saint Eli at Hissar.
