Sultan Osman the Young was born in Istanbul. His mother took great care of his training, and she had him have a good education and culture. Sultan Osman was very intelligent and energetic. He who had not yet grown moustache, had a very handsome face.

On February the 26th. 1618, since the Sultan Mustafa, his uncle. was taken down owing to his lack of mental efficiency and with the fetwa of the savants, he sat on the throne. Though he was in his early ages, he had great and perfect schemes on behalf of his country. That bold. plucky and daredevil emperor was said to be a second "Conqueror" by the historians had he not been assassinatedlie was a poet and calligrapher.

The following lines are taken from one of his poems:
My intention was to serve for the sake of my
country and suzerainity ,
I wonder why the malicious and covetous work
for my poverty.

The jealousy of the covetous bullied against him because of his great objects and plans. He was not able to find any Viziers or Grand Viziers to apply his schemes. He was dethroned in a way as tragically as rarely seen in the world history, and was slaughtered being throttled in the jails of Yedikoule.
The same year the Bosphorus froze and people got across it on foot. The solar eclipse occurred also in that era. Osman the Young commanded his troops on the great mobilization against Poland. He was buried in the tomb of his father next to the Sultan Ahmed Mosque (May Allah have mercy upon his soul!)
Nefee, a famous poet, wrote the following lines on his mournful decease:
They killed the Sultan of the world for he was
a glorious emperor. He was a gallant suzerain, and all his
descendants were sultan, He was a gallant suzerain, and all his
They murdered him since he was a zealous
padishah
They slaughtered him, the Sultan of the world.
