SULTAN MURAD THE FOURTH
(1612 - 1640 )

Sultan Murad had a good education and culture. He was so much strong that he could lift maces of two hundred kilograms easily, and pull the hardest bows and throw javelins to a distance. and the arrows he shot could even pierce through the shields.
He took power into his hands in his early ages. and because of this, he was not able to deal with the Imperial affairs. He started two mobilizations to Anatolia and subdued all the rebellions of Djelal. He was at the same time a prominent poet and the following answer in verse to the Grand Vizier who had besieged Bagdad and demanded military aid from him, in his early sultanate, is very famous:
0 protector! Aren't there any troops to help
Baghdad?
You desire help from us, aren't there any
soldiers there?
He curbed the riot which had been plotted in a way very similar to the one against Othman the Young, and he made it ineffective ingeniously. He addressed in such an influental way that even most of the mutineers applauded him after his speech, and next, he made all the intriguers arrested and executed one by one.
He prohibited both drinking and smoking (smoking in 1633 and drinking in 1634). He made everyone who is not faithful to his country executed. He captured Baghdad on one of his eastern mobilizations and he was then given the title of "Conqueror of Baghdad" in 1638.
He slayed the whole hectors in Stanbul and in every part of the country. He established also an Intelligence Organization, and thus made the oppressors all around the land determined by their names and on his way on a mabilization, he made them all caught and beheaded where they lived. He reconstructed Kaaba, too.
He wrote poems under the pseudonym of "Muradee" and "Shah". He was a composer, too. He mastered Imperial affairs and was informed about every thing. He participated in wars under the same conditions along with the soldiers, and even he slept on his horse. In the initial of his era, the treasure had been empty, but he enriched it during his suzerainity. His life, in details, could be learnt in great history books.
He fell sick in 1620 and gave up all hopes from his life, however, by the help of Allah the Almighty and the real Health-Giver, he recovered from his illness: but, unfortunately, after some time, he took sick anew, and that time he was not able to be cured and passed away on February the 8th, 1640, at the time when lie was only 28 years old(May Allah have mercy upon his soul!)
